ChatGPT

Watch the full setup from start to first trade, then follow the written guide below if you need details on any step.

What the video covers: signing in to ChatGPT, enabling Developer Mode, creating the Axiory.ai app, entering your FIX credentials, and verifying the connection with a live quote.

For the ChatGPT integration with Axiory to be functional, you will need a paid ChatGPT account (Plus, Team, or Enterprise), as Developer Mode is not available on the free plan. This is not a fee charged by Axiory, but rather a requirement for accessing ChatGPT’s app features.

Furthermore, you need a macOS or Windows computer with Google Chrome installed — Chrome is required for the MCP authorisation flow.

Note for Business/Workspace users: If you are on a Team or Enterprise plan, you may also need Admin access to enable Developer Mode and launch apps.

Axiory.ai requires a ChatGPT account to function. No desktop app is needed — everything runs in the browser.

  1. Open https://chatgpt.com in Google Chrome
  2. The Log in or sign up screen will appear
  3. Sign in with Google, Apple, phone number, or a standard email address
  4. Complete the authentication flow
  5. Once signed in, you’ll see the ChatGPT home screen

To create a custom App, you first need to enable Developer Mode. This is required because it unlocks the ability to connect ChatGPT to your own MCP server URL.

  1. Click your profile icon at the bottom-left corner and select Settings
  2. Navigate to the Apps tab
  3. Click Advanced settings
  4. Toggle Developer mode on

Why can’t I find the “Apps” section in my ChatGPT settings?

You must have a paid ChatGPT Plus, Team, or Enterprise plan and enable Developer Mode first. Go to your profile (bottom left) → Settings → Apps → Advanced settings to find the toggle.

What is Developer Mode and why do I need it?

Developer Mode allows you to create custom Apps inside ChatGPT. This is required because it unlocks the ability to connect ChatGPT to the Axiory MCP server URL to fetch your live trading data.

Which Authentication method should I select for the ChatGPT App?

When creating your Axiory.ai app in ChatGPT, select OAuth in the Authentication field. This ensures a secure, industry-standard handshake between OpenAI and the Axiory infrastructure.

I’m using a Business account — why can’t I launch the Axiory app?

If you are on a Team or Enterprise plan, you may need Admin access to enable Developer Mode and launch custom apps. Contact your IT administrator to approve the integration.

How do I trigger the connection once the app is created?

Open a new chat in ChatGPT and type: “Connect to Axiory AI and give me the current EUR/USD quotes.” This prompts ChatGPT to search its tools and initiate the FIX session.

What happens if I lose my cTrader ID password during setup?

If you have not yet set a cTrader ID password, the setup flow will redirect you to the cTrader ID page. You must set a password there to link your email to the trading platform.

How do I troubleshoot a failed connection in ChatGPT?

Go to Settings → Apps → Axiory.ai, delete the app, and re-create it. Double-check that your SenderCompID and FIX API Password (the numeric one) are entered correctly in the connection form.

Start with paper mode to get comfortable, then switch to live when you’re ready.
